MD Abu Bakkar (Born on December 30, 1999, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia) is a Bangladeshi entrepreneur, author, and tech influencer. He is the founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of HostOrient, a Bangladesh-based BDIX-connected web hosting and cloud service provider, and the founder and chairman of Extent Technologies Limited, a technology infrastructure company.
Early life and education
MD Abu Bakkar was born in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He completed his early education at Rajnagar Ideal High School and later attended Imperial College Moulvibazar. From an early age, he showed an interest in technology, business, and digital entrepreneurship.
Career
Extent Technologies Limited (2016–present)
On August 17, 2016, MD Abu Bakkar co-founded Extent Technologies Limited alongside Nagera Akther in Moulvibazar, Bangladesh. He serves as the company's Founder and Chairman. Extent Technologies Limited is a member of the Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) and registered with the Asia Pacific Network Information Centre (APNIC). The company provides IT infrastructure, cloud computing, data center solutions, software development, and web development services.
HostOrient (2019–present)
On September 21, 2019, MD Abu Bakkar founded HostOrient as a specialized hosting brand under Extent Technologies Limited. He serves as Founder and CEO. HostOrient is co-founded by Nagera Akther, who serves as Co-Founder and CFO. HostOrient is one of Bangladesh's leading BDIX-connected web hosting and cloud service providers, serving thousands of businesses domestically and internationally.
